Base Fuel Zone Project

The ground in the fuel area of Hainan Wenchang Satellite Launch Base belongs to the outdoor ground. The following problems must be solved in the process of selecting materials:

First, aviation fuel gas is heavier than air, colorless and tasteless, and if leakage occurs, it is not easy to be detected.  The outdoor environment is under harsh working conditions, and the ground is easy to generate explosion ignition sources, which brings great potential safety hazards. Therefore, Explosion-proof flooring shall be selected for the ground.

Second, outdoor ground load is extremely large, once damaged, it will affect the ground explosion-proof performance and may cause accidents. It must be able to withstand repeated rolling by large mechanical equipment.  Therefore, pure metal aggregate flooring must be selected.

Third, Wenchang, Hainan, has a marine climate in which iron metal gets rusty easily. NFJ metal aggregate is passivated by adding rare earth and inert gas to ensure it will never rust during use.

Therefore, when Beijing Jinke Company undertook the project of Hainan Wenchang Satellite Launch Base Fuel Zone in 2015 and 2019, it all used NFJ metal aggregate explosion-proof flooring material, a self-developed product, and the ground performance was stable through actual testing.
